Check out Cycle Gear if you have one near you. Hubby buys their battery that has a free lifetime replacement if it goes dead. Has exchanged it once when having charging problems with the Tiger and they did it, no questions asked.Trobairitzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03453398807198746434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767318503668121403.post-28814075515104712812014-08-11T14:02:12.900-04:002014-08-11T14:02:12.900-04:00Heck, the thing has lasted 4-5 yrs then buy a new ...Heck, the thing has lasted 4-5 yrs then buy a new battery. If you are riding year round then you probably don't need a tender. Here in Illinois, a tender is a required accessory. Now that it is running, you could use a multimeter and test the voltage (running and at stop) to see if it is actually charging and/or holding the charge.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04602864562645230942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767318503668121403.post-25233375447262960172014-08-10T09:13:57.454-04:002014-08-10T09:13:57.454-04:00The battery is likely toast. A creative way to check that could be to take a point and shoot camera, turn off the flash, set it on the self-timer and put it in the compartment, let it take the pic and see what you get.David Massehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09346419242154545286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767318503668121403.post-63813324613763489022014-08-09T19:56:42.960-04:002014-08-09T19:56:42.960-04:00I'm always worried about anything that "m...I'm always worried about anything that "might" strand me somewhere I don't want to be, so you're right to be concerned. I've had to push start my bike once and I have to say that sucked trying to push a 483 pound bike up enough of an incline and then popping the clutch and hoping it would start. I had to do it twice and it sucked. I bought a new battery because it was due for it anyway.Dar https://www.blogger.com/profile/14690180541358767168noreply@blogger.com
